Appeals
We have set up a fundraising page to help us through these troubling times.
Current Appeals
This page lets you know about some of the appeals we currently have here at Woodside.
You are able to donate towards the current projects below. These are all done to improve or continue to help the animals in our care. We will continually look to improve our standards and meet the growing needs of the animals.
Alternatively, you can donate towards our overall work by clicking on the donate button on our home page.

URGENT APPEAL TO REBUILD RESIDENT CATS’ UNIT
Can you help us give our resident cats the cosy, comfortable home they deserve?
We desperately need to raise £65,000 to rebuild The Mews, our special care resident cats unit. Having stood on the sanctuary site for 30 years, the outdated unit has deteriorated beyond repair.
We are one of the few charities in the region to offer a loving, permanent home to cats who, through age or illness, cannot be rehomed.
The Mews has been a safe haven for more than 90 cats, including current residents Delen, Dotty and Guinness. But with temporary repairs unable to fix the rotting wooden and metal structure, The Mews needs demolishing and a purpose-built, sustainable building put in its place.
Thanks to a generous donation, demolition and work on the foundations can start in the coming weeks. But we need your help to fund the build, which will house 6 cat pods, an open-plan roaming/play area and separate section for cats that cannot live together or require isolation.
Unlike the existing structure, which is open to the elements, the new unit will be built with uPVC and glazing, to provide a warm, cosy space that’s well ventilated. The cats will have access to the sanctuary’s grounds, where they can roam freely.
Every contribution, big and small, will bring us a step closer to giving our cats the safe haven they deserve for years to come.
