Handsome Cooper is a gentle lad who is slowly coming out of his shell since arriving at the sanctuary.
Cooper, a five-year-old Retriever X St Bernard, arrived at Woodside after his owner sadly passed away.
He can be unsure of the world around him and needs time and patience to gain his trust. He can be protective, especially in the home, and it’s thought he might have been mistreated by men in one of his previous homes and, as a result, he can be reactive to some men.
Cooper has lived with cats but can be fearful of dogs. We believe he’d be happiest in a home without children.
Cooper is a new arrival and is so far doing really well here, happily walking with other dogs and in large groups.
